贵州汽车币，用汽车作银币图案，是近代银币中绝无仅有的，它与光绪龙、大清龙以及以人物为图案的近代银币相比，确是独出新裁而很受时人喜欢。钱币正面中央为“贵州银币”四字，上方为“中华民国十七年”，下方标注“壹圆”字样；汽车下面草丛隐匿“西成”二字，而这也开创了中国机制币中暗记的先河。上方印铸“贵州省政府造”，下方印有“七钱二分”字样，当时民国铸币多以圆为单位，但是此币两者皆有保留，颇耐人寻味。The Guizhou Automobile Silver Coin, featuring an automobile as its design motif, is unparalleled among modern silver coins. Compared with the modern silver coins adorned with the "Guangxu Dragon," "Great Qing Dragon," or human figures, it truly stands out with its innovative design and was highly popular among people of that era. On the obverse (front side) of the coin, the four characters "Guizhou Silver Coin" are inscribed in the center; above them is "The 17th Year of the Republic of China," and below is marked the denomination "One Yuan." The two characters "Xicheng" (a hidden mint mark) are subtly concealed in the grass beneath the automobile—this pioneering detail established the tradition of hidden marks on machine-struck Chinese coins. On the reverse (back side), "Made by the Guizhou Provincial Government" is cast at the top, and "Seven Mace and Two Candareens" (a traditional weight-based denomination, equivalent to one yuan) is inscribed at the bottom. During that period, most coins of the Republic of China used "yuan" as the unit of denomination, so the retention of both units on this coin is quite thought-provoking.
